I have known for years about the false-security latch. One swift kick and the 2 3/8" screws that hold the contraption together fall out of the frame. This is why every night before I go to sleep in a hotel, I move all the furnature in front of the door... good luck kicking in my door as it is reinforced with an uncomforable chair, undersized desk, and useless dresser with a TV bolted to it.
