Change Service Console IP Address

For the most part working with networking in a VMware Infrastructure environment can be easily done through the Virtual Infrastructure Client.  However, sometimes the need arises to change the IP address of the Service Console.  While you can go the route of creating a new Service Console port and removing the old one, I find it easier to change the IP details on the original Service Console port from the actual server console.

Free Online Meetings

Tools like WebEx and GoToMeeting are great for having groups of people collaborate and have become essential for technical support in their diagnosis and resolution steps.  The problem with most of the commercial offerings is that they either lure you in with expensive contracts or they are pay-per-use.  Well now there is a new player on the block:  Dimdim.

Outlook 2007 Deployment

For some unknown reason, Microsoft removed the ability to apply transform files to the Office 2007 suite when installing via MSI. On the flip side they made it much easier to deploy patches in MSP format to Office 2007 when installing via the traditional setup.exe. Give and take I suppose. Why is this a problem? Well if you want to deploy any or all of the Office 2007 suite via Active Directory Group Policy you will need to get a little creative.

E-mail Address Policy Based on Country

There are a ton of things that the Exchange team did to improve manageability in Exchange Server 2007. This is evident in the number of new rule based wizards that appear throughout the Exchange Management Console. However there are still quite a few things that an administrator needs to handle via the trusty Exchange Management Shell. One of those is the creation of custom E-mail address policies.
